White House admits Miers will have to recuse herself on certain questions

Thomas Lifson reports that in a seminar with bloggers the White House admitted that Harriet Miers may have to recuse herself in regard to several upcoming questions concerning the war on terror. They also state that as the GWOT is a "generational battle", in the long run her perspective on the court will be vital. Pardon me, but at the age of 60 is Miers really going to be around for a "generation"? Still, this is one question that has been raised, and now answered by the White House.

The American Thinker: "He also stressed that her hands-on, real life experience in the White House with the global war on terror will prove extremely important, in light of attempts by the judiciary to micro-manage the Guantanamo Bay detention of captured terrorists. He conceded that there may be a few cases in which she might recuse herself in the near future, but stated that this was a �generational battle� and in the long run, her perspective on the Court will be vital to the GWOT.
