Well, there's always the dacha in Novosibirsk

Putin's going to have to make new vacation plans if this goes through. And here he was hoping to get a chance to show off those new Speedos with the trendy Stalin logo:

Ukrainian officials try to deprive Putin of his villa.

Ukrainian officials are trying to reverse the sale of a villa on the country's Black Sea coast for use by the Russian president Vladimir Putin as his official summer residence, The Australian reported.

Here's the final sentence from the article: "We have had to swallow our pride over the orange revolution. To have this villa sold to the Kremlin and then taken away is just the sort of petty row that will infuriate him." I am left wondering what the Russian official meant by "pride". I guess being a corrupt and brutal KBG thug who tried to bump Yushchenko off (don't tell me Putin's hand wasn't somewhere in that dioxin plot) makes Putin feel proud of himself. Talk about high self-esteem! And Aussiegirl, I loved your title and the Speedos with the trendy Stalin logo!
