Taras Shevchenko Monument in Washington

The Taras Shevchenko Monument at 22nd and P Streets, N.W. in Washington, D. C.

President Yushchenko will attend a ceremonial wreath laying at the Monument which many Ukrainians will attend. Already buses have been hired to bring visitors from Philadelphia and New York.

Tomorrow I will post a short history of this monument, and a personal connection to it.
