"More Flu Vaccine Should Ease Shortage" -- well that usually happens when you have more of something

By Aussiegirl

You know, if you really try hard, you can get the hang of this statistics and economics stuff. Imagine, if you have more of something it eases shortages. Do the oil companies know about this?

More Flu Vaccine Should Ease Shortage

Scattered flu shot shortages around the country should be eased by 10 million new doses scheduled to be delivered this month, a top federal health official said Thursday.

In addition, the government is buying 800,000 doses to shore up supplies, said Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

About 71 million doses of flu vaccine have been distributed so far, despite delivery delays and shortfalls from manufacturers. Some doctors, health departments and companies have had trouble getting vaccine, and some have canceled vaccination clinics.

I think the only thing they can manage is... if I withhold it and charge more, I bet these suckers will still buy it from me!

Shucks, if we could run our cars on anything else there really would be competition. Check out the article on Thomas Gold and the abiotic theory of oil production. There's an unlimited supply of the stuff, all they have to do is drill real deep. The Russians are already doing this, wonder why our guys don't? Maybe they have to keep us thinking there's a shortage so they can charge a lot.
