Ukrainian authorities seize container of uranium

Breaking news via the The Jerusalem Post:
Ukrainian authorities seized a container of radioactive uranium from a car outside Kiev's airport and arrested one person, emergency officials said Wednesday.
The uranium was found Tuesday evening in a car parked near Kiev's Boryspil airport, said Dmytro Bohuslovskiy, spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry.
. . . Following the breakup of the Soviet Union, Ukraine inherited a vast number of radioactive materials - including spent nuclear fuel from its atomic plants and worn-out industrial equipment containing lethal radioactive isotopes.
. . . Many experts have warned that radioactive materials could be used by terrorists for making a radiological dispersal device, or dirty bomb.
